Jacob Green
AssociateJacob Green is a dedicated attorney and advocate for people injured by the wrongdoing of others.
Jacob began his career as an Assistant Prosecutor at the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, where he served in the Domestic Violence Unit and Adult Trial Section. There, Jacob served as the lead prosecutor for hundreds of felony-level criminal cases involving charges ranging from assault to attempted murder. Throughout that time, Jacob gained substantial experience in all stages of prosecution, including investigations, charging, motion practice, and trial.
Thereafter, Jacob began representing plaintiffs in civil litigation, initially at another law firm in Manhattan before joining the team at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf. Throughout the last several years, Jacob has represented plaintiffs in lawsuits filed pursuant to New York and New Jersey’s sexual abuse revival statutes - revolutionary legislation that has given survivors of sexual abuse an opportunity to pursue previously-foreclosed claims against their abusers and the institutions that enabled the abuse to occur. Leaving no stone left unturned, Jacob has been effective in obtaining decades-old evidence essential to the prosecution of these revived claims.
Jacob received his law degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law. While in law school, Jacob served as the Director of Competitions for the Moot Court Executive Board and was an award-winning competitor on the Philip C. Jessup International Law Team. At graduation, Jacob was admitted to The Order of Barristers - an honor given to a select number of law students across the country for excellence in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. He also participated in Penn State Law’s Civil Rights Appellate Clinic. After he graduated, Jacob served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert B. Reed, P.J. in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Jacob was included in the New York Metro Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list in 2023 and 2024.
