Brian Karalunas
AssociateBrian Karalunas represents clients in medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, and civil rights lawsuits in state and federal court. In addition to his trial work, Brian also maintains an active appellate practice at the firm.
Brian was born and raised in Upstate New York. After graduating from Stanford Law School, he clerked for the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to joining the firm, Brian worked for a leading defense firm representing clients in nationwide products liability matters and in claims involving fraud, breach of contract, and other commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois.
Before starting his legal career, Brian spent nine years playing professional lacrosse, during which time he was a seven-time All-Star selection. Brian has coached thousands of youth, high school, and collegiate athletes across the country, including serving as the head coach of Stanford University’s men’s lacrosse team. Brian received his B.A. summa cum laude from Villanova University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, a two-time captain and three-time All-American on the varsity men's lacrosse team, and the co-founder of an advanced restorative justice course at Graterford Maximum Security Prison.
